Born and raised in Washington state; I bought my first house right out of physical therapy assistant school. That home was built in 1893 so you can imagine the character it had, but also the amount of work it needed. My boyfriend at the time (now husband) helped me tear it down to the studs. We lived in it while we flipped it. What an experience! Needless to say our hard work and dedication paid off. I bought the house for 126,000 in 2016 and sold it for 350,000 in 2021. We continue to invest in real estate, and joke that everything we touch increases in value. We've come across nearly every home issue one could have a nightmare about. Things we’ve encountered include faulty plumbing, faulty electrical, roof leaks, water pipe leaks, basement flooding, mold, broken fireplace inserts, and a failed drain field. The list could go on, as with every year of home ownership it seems we learn something new. I’ve learned how to manage contractors of all kinds while also managing two young boys, and two dogs at home. I use my personal experience in real estate to assist my clients with the best possible purchase or sale for them. I take into consideration that every individual has their own personal goals in mind when investing in real estate and put the utmost importance on this when working with them.
